the attributes that the right candidate would possess.

Candidate
will be functioning as the Hospice Team Assistant whose primary
function is to provide staff support to the team members, patients and
family members, to maintain active medical records in compliance with
company policy and procedures, federal, state, accreditation standards,
and to be responsible for obtaining physician signature in accordance to
policy and procedure. The candidate will be responsible for answering,
designating and responding to calls placed into the office, screening
and facilitating communication with employees, patients and their family
members as well as other parties.  Candidates will also be responsible
for administrative duties as assigned to them by the Office Supervisor.
Candidate must have excellent verbal and written communication skills,
must be detail oriented, organized and customer service oriented.

Requirements

Required Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma/GED
  • 1+ year previous administrative assistant or operations support experience
  • 1+ year experience in a professional office environment
  • 1+ year of experience with MS Excel.
  • 1+ year of experience with MS Word to create correspondence, update
    or modify templates/forms, mail merges, and spell/grammar check tools
  • 1+ year of experience working with MS Outlook for calendar management, e-mailing, and folder management.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous experience with medical terminology or healthcare industry experience.
  • Experience working with Palliative Care.
  • Medical/Billing bookkeeping experience preferred
