Primary Responsibilities:
  • Provide security incident response support and investigation capabilities for key customers
  • Provide support for projects that improve the security posture of UnitedHealth Group
  • Provide alerting and monitoring consulting for key customers
  • Provide innovative solutions and countermeasures in the event of a security incident
  • Provide innovative solutions to SIEM reporting, alerting, investigations, and task automation
  • Maintain the integrity of UnitedHealth Group?s security posture
  • Communicate security activity to team members and leadership 
  • Provide a process driven approach to security investigations which ensures accuracy and consistency 
  • On-call rotation with 24/7 availability
  • Reviews the work of others.
  • Develops innovative approaches.
  • Sought out as expert.
  • Serves as a leader/ mentor.

Requirements

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor degree or HS diploma/GED with 4+ equivalent experience in Security field
  • 3+ years of IT security experience
  • Technical knowledge of networking, security controls (IPS, Firewall, FireEye, etc) and information security concepts.
  • Expertise in SQL and creating SQL queries
  • 1+ years knowledge of trouble isolation, log analysis, event correlation, and data analysis
  • Experience with Microsoft Office for Data Analysis
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience using enterprise SIEM technologies a plus
  • Experience using RSA Security Analytics, or NetWitness highly desired
  • CISSP or other security certifications highly desired
  • Understanding of object oriented programming languages as well as interpreted scripting languages highly desired (C++, Perl, Python, ColdFusion, etc)
