Position Purpose:
The Customer Insights team provides actionable customer insights and consulting to The Home Depot’s senior leadership team to support major strategic decisions. The Manager acts as a subject matter expert on the home improvement customer and provides thought leadership about our markets, product categories, and competitors. He/she plays a leadership role in executing and leveraging The Home Depot’s Customer Satisfaction program for a broad range of internal clients including the executive leadership team, Store Operations, and more than 2,000 Home Depot stores.

Major Tasks, Responsibilities & Key Accountabilities:
50%-Customer Satisfaction Research
o Manage day-to-day execution of store Voice of the Customer (VOC) program
o Provide actionable, unbiased, strategic recommendations
o Serve as main point of contact for organization on VOC inquiries o Oversee supplier relationship
o Manage quality control processes

25%-Custom Research: Guide research planning (including methodology selection, instrument design, & analysis planning) for a variety of categories & bizpartners: Oversee supplier relationships on research projects by setting understanding of project scope, budget, deliverables: Manage projects from design through data analysis

25%-Knowledge Management
o Provide a holistic view of the customer, the marketplace, and trends by integrating data from different domains (including secondary/syndicated information sources) to inform strategy development and decision- making
o Bring best-in-class research/consulting practices to the organization

Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.

Travel:

Standard Minimum Qualifications:
Must be eighteen years of age or older.
Must pass the Drug Test.
Must pass Background Check.
Must pass pre-employment test if applicable.

Education Required:
The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor's degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job.

Physical Requirements:
Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.

Preferred Qualifications:
-Client-side work in retail; Supplier-side research experience and/or consulting background a plus

-Master’s degree in Marketing Research or Statistics, or MBA

-Ability to communicate technical information to technical and non-technical audiences

-Experience in managing high profile projects

- Proficient in PowerPoint and Excel

-Extensive knowledge of statistical methods
