About this job

Current opening for a Project Manager/Trainer for an engineering firm. The company works in the alternative power industry and engineers and designs solar racking systems for their customers. They have a current opening for a Project Manager working to help train the customers on installs for these systems. They will travel 60% of the time to sites all over the east coast (mainly in the NE) and will then come back to the office in Huntersville, NC to manage another project from design through construction. They only do the engineering and design for the racking system and they want this person to be the trainer to their customers on how to install the system.

This will be a traveling position 60%-70% of the time. They will go to the project sites and help teach the construction companies the proper way of installing and building these solar racking systems. When they are not out training customers, they will be in an engineering office managing projects from design to scheduling deliveries of their product.

The ideal candidate will possess 5 years experence in the Project management arena. Ideally we would like to find someone with 2 years of solar experience combined with another 2-3 years of general construction/engineering project management. Candidates that have trained customers or vendors in the past is a big plus. Candidates must be open to traveling every week as this is their main job skill.
