About this job


In this hands-on architect role, you will be directly accountable for driving the Healthcare Claim domain strategy and architecture for our Fortune 20 enterprise. Specific responsibilities will include the following:


 



  • Leading the development of strategies and initiatives for the Claims domain

  • Developing strategies that can enable business growth and increase revenue opportunities       

  • Participating in the creation of strategic roadmaps for the Claims domain 

  • Designing solutions that are aligned to the roadmap 

  • Driving alignment across multiple organizations, applications and platforms 

  • Integrating applications to simplify our environment 

  • Recommending decommissioning targets and transition strategies 

  • Representing the organization both internally and externally on Claims domain 

  • Responding to change and leading multiple projects simultaneously with minimal direction

  • Serving as a thought leader, mentor and advocate for best practices in all aspects of Claims domain

Requirements


Candidates will possess:



  • 10 + years of experience in the Applications Architecture discipline

  • Enterprise architecture domain expertise

  • Proven expertise with large relational databases and high-volume transaction processing applications

  • Prior success creating sustainable, scalable architecture in a large, global, matrixed organization 

  • Strong facilitation skills with diverse sets of stakeholders at all levels in an organization, including Executives and IT leaders

  • Demonstrated leadership skills, including an assertive (yet diplomatic) personality and ability to lead people (that don't report directly to you) effectively through change

  • Ability to lead, influence and motivate others, evidenced by successful leadership of cross-disciplinary, virtual teams in a collaborative fashion

  • Consultative skills, evidenced by the ability to influence C-Level business and IT leaders

  • Ability to present and explain information in a way that establishes rapport, persuades and promotes consensus building

  • Willingness and ability to travel 25% of time

  • Proven experiences within the Claims domain (especially healthcare claims) preferred

  • Experiences with SOA and ESB desired

  • Broad based background in both IBM Mainframe and Distributed systems ideal

  • Prior experiences within a commercial software firm of value 

  • Relevant Bachelor's degree, or equivalent experiences; advanced degree preferred
