Job Description
JOB SUMMARY:
Provide Guests and Team Members with clean and sanitized utensils, plateware, glassware and equipment. Maintains regular and consistent attendance and punctuality.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Washes plateware, glassware, silverware, pots/pans and kitchen utensils according to sanitation and cleaning procedures. Ensures dishes are sanitized and available as needed. 45%
- Places clean plate ware, glassware, silverware, utensils and pot/pans in specified shelves according to sanitation and cleaning procedures. 20%
- Sets up dish machine in the AM and closes down machine in the PM according to company procedures. 2%
- Maintains daily cleanliness and maintenance of dish machine. Cleans and sanitizes throughout the shift. Keeps sanitation solution up to company codes at all times. 2%
- Keeps dish areas clean by sweeping, mopping floors, wiping countertops, and emptying trash. 15%
- Trouble-shoots dishwasher machine malfunctions. 2%
- Completes assigned daily and weekly cleaning projects. 2%
- Occasionally assist in food preparation. 2%
- Maintains and understands chemicals used for cleaning processes. 2%
Requirements
Education:
High School graduate or equivalent preferred
Experience:
Previous dishwashing or restaurant experience preferred
Skills/Competencies/Certifications:
- Reading, writing and verbal communication skills required
- Capable of using knives, slicing equipment and other food preparation equipment
- Read food order slips or receive verbal instructions as to food required by Guest and prepare and cook food according to instructions
