Server (Part-Time)
The David A. Straz, Jr. Center for the Performing Arts (the" Straz Center") is seeking to fill the position of part-time Server.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
*Welcome and greet guests.
*Answer questions about food, beverages and other restaurant functions and services.
*Collect food and beverage orders from guests.
*Enter orders in point of sale system.
*Deliver food and beverages from kitchen and bar to guests in a timely manner.
*Maintain cleanliness of service areas.
*Prepare final bill and process payment.
*Assist with clearing and resetting tables.
Qualifications:
*Prior experience preferred
*Basic knowledge of dining room and service procedures and functions
*Possess basic math skills and have ability to handle money and operate a point of sale system
*Be able to work in a stand up position for long periods of time (minimum 5 hours)
*Be able to safely lift and easily maneuver trays of food frequently weighing up to 40 pounds
*Ability to work nights, weekend, and some holidays
