On behalf of Innovation Research and Training (IRT), Headway Workforce Solutions is currently seeking Part-Time Data Collectors to work on a research study primarily in Statesville and Iredell County.



POSITION SUMMARY

Data Collectors will work on the Media Aware-Sexual Healt h (MASH) project, administering an assessment to middle school aged students . T he purpose of the Media Aware-Sexual Health Project is to study the effectiveness of a comprehensive sexual health education program for middle school students. Data Collectors will administer student pretests, post-tests, and 3-month follow-up questionnaire in schools. They will observe teaching selected lessons during the study timeframe and complete observation logs. Data Collectors will distribute and collect forms and materials from teachers and students. The project is set to begin September 2014 and expected to continue through June 2015.




POSITION TYPE

This position is part time, offering roughly 15 - 25 hours/week through June 2015. We are looking for individuals who will be able to work daytime, weekday hours, and are able to commit to the duration of the project.



JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Comfortable working in a school setting, etc…
  • Prompt, Reliable And accurate Reporting to Project Management.
  • Available 15-25 hours each week to collect Data for the duration of the study period.
  • Have reliable personal automobile available for business use.
  • Be available and willing to work daytime, weekday hours as required by your specific assignment.
  • Assist study participants in completing questionnaires by answering questions and addressing concerns.
  • Collect Assent forms and Permission Slips from teachers at the schools.
  • Accurately complete all project documentation, including electronic survey instruments and all reporting forms.
  • Keep all project information confidential.
  • Ability to complete all required activities in a professional manner, while maintaining the integrity of all information acquired.
  • Maintain a professional, cooperative relationship with your Field Manager and other project staff, objectively sharing your thoughts while displaying an understanding of project management's concerns.
  • Be receptive—not defensive—when given feedback from project personnel about your performance, striving to learn and improve.
  • Assume responsibility for and carefully track all project materials.






TRAINING AND PAY

Data Collectors will be expected to attend an in –person paid training; date to be determined. Attendance at training is mandatory. Trainees must successfully complete training to continue employment on the project. Data Collectors must also complete all required ethics and data security training prior to beginning work on this study.





This position will offer an hourly rate of $15-$17, dependent on experience.
