High volume Bakery production position

Essential Functions

Maintains clean, safe and sanitary bakery area and equipment
Produces consistent products to spec
Requires operating and using equipment such as knives, scales, wrappers, mixers, dispensers, pallet jacks, and hand trucks
Prepares various bakery foods; includes using the appropriate ingredients and proper cooking times for product being made
Uses knowledge of scales and weight measures to accurately weigh and label products
Sustains a high level of product knowledge and product preparations
Works well with team members.

High school diploma or equivalent with 1-2 years Bakery experience; or an acceptable combination of education and experience
Excellent customer service skills
Highly motivated with a sense of urgency and the ability to successfully work in a fast-paced environment
Requires basic math skills
Physical Requirements

Minimum of 18 years or older
Ability to work varied hours/days as business dictates
Requires vertically transferring weights up to 10 lbs., from 7 to 64 for up to 10 hours
Requires vertically/horizontally transferring items up to 40 lbs., from 5 to 36, for a distance up to 36 feet for up to 10 hours without mechanical assistance
Will use utility cart to move product up to 20 lbs., with a force up to 10 lbs., for a distance up to 100 feet for up to 10 hours
Will horizontally transfer racks of product requiring a force up to 10 lbs., for a distance up to 25 feet for up to 25 hours

Will be required to stand for up to 3 hours continuously, for a total of 8 hours per shift
Will work inside controlled temperatures; working near ovens and in freezers/coolers
Walking up to 1 mile per 8 hours
This job may have specific physical demands including, but not limited to, the following: ability to lift up to 50 lbs.; ability to operate machinery with moving mechanical parts; and ability to bend, reach, kneel, squat, stand for a long period of time and push/pull heavy loads.
