Position Purpose:

Under the direction of the Sales Manager, the Field Sales Manager is responsible for attaining the monthly, quarterly, and annual sales projections through personal sales performance. This is derived primarily through in-home customer sales visits through pre-assigned appointments and accounts for the majority of the FSMs duties. Additionally, the FSM is expected to support office sales performance through mentoring and training of other outside Sales Consultants. Related to this, the FSM is responsible for providing training, coaching, guidance and expertise in all knowledgeable product categories to the Sales Consultants. This is done primarily through ride-alongs where the FSM is expected to demonstrate knowledge, skills, and abilities while performing his/her core duty of in-home selling.

Major Tasks, Responsibilities & Key Accountabilities:

85%-Performs in-home sales presentations.

10%-assisting the Sales Manager in the attainment of the projected sales goals of the office by building knowledge and skills around sit ratios, conversation percentages, selling process, average order value, and close rates via ride-alongs. Responsible for coaching performance deficiencies through mentoring and skill development.

5%-Provide technical training in the branch office.

Environmental Job Requirements: Environment: 1. Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.

Travel: 1. Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.

Standard Minimum Qualifications: Must be eighteen years of age or older. Must pass the Drug Test.  Must pass Background Check. Must pass pre-employment test if applicable.

Additional Minimum Qualifications:

Education Required: 

The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a high school diplomas and/or GED.

Physical Requirements: 1. Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.

Additional Qualifications:

Preferred Qualifications: 

Knowledge of HDI product assortment.
Able to teach, train, coach and influence a sales team of 5+.
Effective oral and written communications skills.
Effective planning, organizing, execution, and follow-up skills.
Able to multi-task and handle competing demands.
Leverage partnerships to gain agreement.
Must be flexible to work nights, holidays and weekends.
Requires daily travel 100% of the time.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Competencies:

Passion to drive performance Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal Able to demonstrate competency of computer based selling through the company's iPad selling tool and software Able to provide leadership, product knowledge, and selling direction to a team of Sales Consultants Must possess a valid driver's license, have access to a reliable vehicle and carry required insurance.
