We are currently seeking an experienced Manufacturing Machinist for a role with a well-established and growing manufacturing company.

Job Responsibilities



As a Manufacturing Machinist, you will be responsible for setting up and operating machines within established standards. You will review specifications to determine setup procedure, dimensions, and machining sequences. Your duties could also include loading programs into the machine control consoles by entering commands to retrieve preprogrammed machine instructions from database.


Other responsibilities of the Machine Operator position include:

  • Performing necessary adjustments, attachments, and assemblies according to setup instructions
  • Manipulating controls and entering commands into the index cutting tool to specify a set point
  • Observing and listening to machine operation to detect malfunctions
  • Adjusting machine feed and speed, and changing cutters to machine parts according to specifications when automatic programming is faulty or machine malfunctions
  • Machining materials other than metal such as composites, plastic, and rubber

As a Manufacturing Machinist, you must be able to work well independently and in a team-oriented setting. S olid manufacturing training, experience, and a stable work history are vital for this role. You must be able to set up and perform work with minimal assistance while maintaining a clean work area. Qualified candidates are safety conscious, ethical, and eager to learn and grow with a leading manufacturer.


Other requirements of the Machine Operator position include:

  • High school diploma or equivalent certification
  • 1-3 years of Machine Operation experience or Trade/Technical school training with experience
  • Experience working on conventional machines or 2- or 4- Axis CNC lathes, various metals, and plastics is helpful, but not required
