Senior Systems / Business Analyst - Optum - Eden Prairie, MN

Optum is currently searching for a Senior Systems/Business Analyst to assist in building an operating model, team to support and executing client work within Optum Market Private Active Exchange. The Senior Systems/Business Analyst will support short and long term operational/strategic business activities by defining, developing, implementing, enhancing and maintaining operational information, models and exchange technologies.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Lead configuration activities within Platform Operations


• Supports technology requirements gathering (as a SME) and UAT and deployment support


• Supports multiple work streams in development of Exchange operations model


• Support Overall Platform Operations Lead


• Develops plans to support client implementations / deployments


• Identifies issues or problems and assesses impact


• Leverages expert knowledge to support solution development to complex problems or situations


• Ability to keep calm and remain flexible in a fast-paced, quickly changing environment


• Task-oriented and meticulous with a strong attention to detail


• Supports operational preparedness planning and go/no go


• Breaks down organizational barriers to ensure continuity of product definition and design to the operational model


• Motivates and involves stakeholders to help implement and support change

This position is located in Eden Prairie, MN

• Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience


• 4+ years of prior operations experience with design, process documentation, implementation, and service delivery


• 4+ years of applicable healthcare, human resources benefits or benefits administration experience


• 3+ years of product development or operations experience preferred


• 5+ years of experience as a systems or business analyst


• 3+ years of project management experience strongly desired


• Effective in routine communications with team and leadership


• Ability to work in a fast paced, changing environment


• Ability to add to a team atmosphere where a team approach is highlighted and valued
