Overview:

Support corporate objectives, strategies and initiatives related to Human Resources by providing leadership, communication, problem solving, decision making, coaching, development and goal setting to the Shared Services Team, comprised of Payroll Operations and new and ongoing HRIS initiatives.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide support to the CHRO to ensure realization of corporate strategies and objectives.
  • Direct and lead the activities of Payroll Operations / Systems, HRIS, Customer Support, System Administration and Corporate Reporting and Analysis.
  • Establish goals and development opportunities for HRIS, Payroll and Customer Support Teams.
  • Direct and lead System Administrator for HRIS including values, codes, tables, security, backup files, and upgrades to new technology solutions.
  • Ensure advance controls and audits are in place to ensure compliance with federal, state and corporate regulations and data integrity.
  • Effectively manage Strategy, Tax and Compliance for HR and Payroll.
  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external customers through the use of strong interpersonal skills.
  • Serves as liaison with the IT department on technical matters and equipment maintenance.
  • Coordinates interfaces with other internal and external systems such as recruiting, learning management, performance management, time and attendance records, vacation and sick time entitlements and usage, FMLA recordkeeping, 401(K) and pension reporting, medical, dental, and disability benefits, workers’ comp and OSHA recordkeeping.
  • Serves as liaison with third-party vendors.
  • Miscellaneous duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 10 years in HRIS and Payroll Systems, showing consistent increase in responsibility.
  • At least 10 years in Payroll management in a large organization.
  • A strong working knowledge of the following systems is preferred (ADP HR, Payroll and Benefits, iCIMS / Taleo, Success Factors, SumTotal, Skillsoft, Lawson, Ceridian), in addition to an excellent background utilizing Oracle, SQL Server, Web Logic, PL/SQL, Access and Cognos.
  • Must be generally familiar with Human Resource Information Systems and specifically, total familiarity with client server technology.
  • Must be proven leader and be able to motivate staff to excellence.
  • Must have excellent interpersonal organizational communication skills.
  • Must be good negotiator and capable of handling several projects and difficult timelines effectively.
  • Must be excellent facilitator and be attentive to details.
  • Must be extremely security conscious.
