We are looking for a Clinical Services Manager to join our team in Elkridge, MD.
Responsibilities:
Staff Performance and Internal/External Relationship
The CSM will directly oversee the ISNP clinical staff day to day operations.
Develop a strong team that is able to manage change and challenges while still meeting market goals.
Ensure effective orientation and development NP's and promote individual development by providing learning and growth opportunities.
Utilize CarePlus performance tools that hold the clinical team accountable for site metrics and performance standards. Keep the DCO updated of all staffing issues, program updates, and work together to develop client facing presentations. Communicate needs and issues addressed by clinical staff to DCO
Develop solutions to problems or barriers by partnering with key stakeholders . Participate in site specific strategic planning activities addressed in the Clinical Leadership meeting, meetings with the Senior team, and with leadership at the nursing homes.
Provide clinical and Health Services expertise on business development efforts.
Serve as a role model to internal and external partners.
Program Quality and Revenue Accuracy
Oversee implementation and adoption of clinical and quality initiatives. Conduct chart audits on all clinical staff and report to DCO monthly.
Accountable for specific financial targets related to clinical programs. Use knowledge of the business and financial goals to determine and communicate clinical priorities with the DCO.
Monitor and hold clinical team accountable for documentation and coding initiatives to achieve revenue accuracy.
Actively engage, coach, and mentor their clinical team, with meeting utilization, membership, collaboration with SNF staff, and quality metrics.
Ability to lift up to 40 pounds- by transporting equipment, supplies and paper information (books, documents) requires packing the carrying case or bag, pulling the case if on wheels, carrying the case by the handle or shoulder strap.
Ability to type on a key board and to touch a screen with a wand.
Ability to speak and write Spanish is a bonus.
Requirements
Certified nurse practitioner through ANCC/AANP for adult, family and/or geriatrics (GNP preferred).
Masters prepared NP in compliance with state licensure requirements.
Current unrestricted license in state(s) in which practicing.
Unrestricted DEA (license to prescribe narcotics/level II info here) per state regulations (unless prohibited in state of practice).
Proficient computer skills including the ability to document medical information with written and electronic medical records.
3-5 years related leadership experience with focus on managing and developing a clinical team, preferably in geriatric care setting
Proven experience in developing and sustaining internal and external client relationships with healthcare professionals, (DON's, administrators, MDs, RNs, etc)
Strong business acumen including analysis and business planning experience
Excellent communication skills and demonstrated ability to foster a culture of clinical excellence and build collaborative relationships
Prior experience in adult teaching environment a plus.
Knowledge of Medicare preferred
Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
Must possess a valid Drivers License with the ability to travel between nursing homes and/or care settings.
