BUILDING MAINTENANCE

The Building Maintenance Technician is responsible for the physical maintenance of the bowling center; the building interior, exterior, parking lot, landscaping and other plant and equipment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensures that all exterior building elements are maintained to a high standard of appearance, quality and structural integrity; this will include responsibility for most repairs (within area of competency), painting touch-ups, repainting and other related activities.
  • Maintains parking lot to a high standard of appearance, repair and safety; repairs will include but are not limited to filling cracks with suitable hot rubber compound to minimize water seepage under the asphalt and filling potholes immediately as they appear.
  • Performs daily lot cleaning duties according to established schedule and ensures that schedule is followed by others on days not worked.
  • Ensures that the dumpster/trash area is kept clean and free from grease and/or oils that degrade the parking lot surface.
  • Maintains all interior & exterior lamps (including parking lot) to ensure they are fully operational; and as approved by the Facility Manager, responsible for all bulb procurement and replacements using the correct bulbs.
  • Replaces the filter media in all HVAC units according to the preventative maintenance schedule for the center.
  • Cleans and maintains the filtration system or air cooling grilles in F&B refrigeration equipment.
  • Proactively ensures that a clean, safe environment is maintained at all times.
  • Readily assists colleagues with miscellaneous duties to prevent delays in the customer service experience.
  • Promptly assists and responds to all customer questions or requests by immediately taking ownership of the inquiry and guiding to resolution.
  • Complies with company safety and security policies at all times, including the safe use of tools and trade appliances within the workspace.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Culinary,  Food management degree or similar industry training.
  • 2 to 3 years previous operational experience.
  • Excellent communication skills, multi-lingual skills a plus.
  • Must be able to speak, read and write in English.
  • Knowledge of and adherence to workplace safety procedures.
