About this job

The Event Director manages a staff of Events Hosts who ensure that all event clients and guests are extremely satisfied with all aspects of their event. The Event Director will work closely with both the sales and operations teams to create a seamless guest experience.

Major Areas of Responsibility:
-Host special events
-Oversee setup of all tables, areas and supplies
-Create a personal connection with the event contact, while ensuring that all of their guest needs are exceeded
-Diligently maintain a clean and organized work area
-Promote a customer focused approach to event hosting
-Use client database to forecast events to create event staff schedule
-Ensure completion of all event reporting „h Use guest feedback reports to improve guest satisfaction
-Counsel and discipline staff as appropriate by following established human resources standards, policies and programs
-Timely and accurate completion of all administrative task

Requirements

Job Requirements:

-1+ year experience managing people
-Knowledge of food and beverage/hospitality industry
-Broad knowledge and experience in event planning and execution
-Strong interpersonal and problem solving skills „h Demonstrated ability to make decisions with limited direction
-Ability to create and modify documents using Microsoft Office products
-Willingness to work a variety of shifts, including nights and weekends
-Must be able to stand and execute fast paced movement for up to 8 hours
-Must be able to speak clearly and listen attentively to co-workers and guests
