Dispatch Associate

Impact

As a Dispatch Associate you are the first point of contact to meet the company's mailing productivity standards and requirements. This helps our clients earn the best possible discounts on First-Class and Standard postage with our presort services. Your career as a Dispatch Associate will help you increase your technical skills in the mailing industry to rapidly move into other positions within Pitney Bowes, Inc. This position is located in Kansas City, MO.

The Job

Monitors the quality of the mail prior to processing and before dispatching.

Ensures that the mail is reviewed for proper dates, over weights, verification of zip codes, and that mail is not stuck together.

Coordinates drivers to ensure all deliveries are completed and on time. Monitors drivers coming into the facility and leaving the facility for the Post Office to ensure they are meeting scheduled route times.

oCommunicates clearly and concisely with internal and external customers regarding orders to be picked up.

Assists in the Metering, Bulk, or Barcode Department between deliveries.

Reviews pickup slips for piece counts and communicates piece counts to the JobCost Administrator.

Promotes a clean work area to prevent possible injuries and/or tripping hazards to self and others.

All other duties as assigned.
Qualification

Qualifications

Strong organizational ,customer service skills, verbal and written communicational skills
Knowledge of the pre-sort mailing business
Ability to stand, walk, stoop and bend up to 100% of the time. Required to lift up to 50lbs. with or without accommodation.
Candidates must have a basic enough understanding of English to be able to understand and follow safety and other operational directions communicated in English, irrespective of their native language.
Based on operational need you must be able to work overtime, which may include weekends, holidays and/or a different shift with limited or no advance notice.

Tuesday - Saturday: 1 am - 9:00 am 37.5 hours

Rate of Pay: $9.50 per hour
