Medical Records Reviewer - Full-time / Part-time

Job Description

Under close supervision, responsible for pulling, filing, and verifying medical records.

• Pulls and files charts for patient appointments, staff, physicians and/or other requests.
• Assembles patients'' health information in chart
• Files loose sheets (patient records) in appropriate chart.
• Scans pertinent information into patient''s EMR.
• Ensures all charts are organized to protocol.
• Delivers and picks up charts from requested locations.
• May answer phone inquiries regarding medical records.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Skills

• Knowledge of practice management and word processing software.
• Ability to perform redundant tasks with minimal error rate
• Ability to use good judgment in the course of contact with physicians, patients, staff
• Possess a strong work ethic and a high level of professionalism.
• A team player who handles multiple projects simultaneously in a fast paced environment
