JOB DESCRIPTION: Maintains and coordinates all product testing. Keep accurate records for testing of all finished products. Keeps up to date spread sheets on testing results and sends to corporate as needed. Answer and deal with inquires on the phone and face to face. Position reports to the Company QA/QC Supervisor, the position is located in Osceola, AR. LAB TECH ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 1. Maintain and coordinate all production testing. 2. Keep accurate records for all testing of finished products. 3. Supply testing information to corporate and send samples as needed. 4. Preform pre batch analysis of moisture and ash in Leonardite. 5. Daily testing of pH, density and filtration of samples taken from product batches. 6. Compare lab results to expected values and report variances to supervisor. 7. Maintain calibration of lab pH meter. 8. Maintain working order of all lab ware, tools and instruments. 9. Understand unit conversion and perform daily calculations. 10. Assist in making experimental lab blends. 11. Maintain log books with complete documentation. 12. Organize and maintain batch sample storage. 13. Maintain proper inventory of necessary lab items. 14. Maintain cleanliness and organization in areas of responsibility. 15. Conduct analytical SOPs with precision and integrity. 16. Prepares spreadsheets analyzing data to support management's requests for information. 17. Recognizes, documents, and alerts supervisor of trends in data. 18. Files and keeps records on all batch sheets. Time Permitting: Work with Technical Development Manager to conduct stability/shelf life studies for Product R&D. 19. Time Permitting: Work with Technical Development Manager to conduct temperature stability studies for Product R&D EDUCATION: High school diploma/GED QUALIFYING INDIVIDUALS MUST HAVE BASIC MATH SKILLS, WHICH INCLUDES THE ABILITY TO ADD, SUBTRACT, MULTIPLY AND DIVIDE IN ALL UNITS OF MEASURE, USING WHOLE NUMBERS, COMMON FRACTIONS, DECIMALS, AND APPLY UNIT CONVERSIONS.
