Distribution Bear

The pawsition of Distribution Bear (General Warehouse Labor) – Part Time in Groveport, Ohio plays a key role in our BearHouse by picking and packing items for Build-A-Bear workshop stores. This position also includes shipping product to the stores, as well as receiving product into the BearHouse and placing product into proper location.

Key responsibilities include:

• Identify, select and pack correct quantities of ordered items for individual stores.

• Replenish and locate needed items in flow rack for picking.

• Ability to use radio frequency (RF) guns, box knives, and calculators.

• Palletize product based on store location and loading onto trailers.

• Unloading product from trailers and palletizing accurately for storage in warehouse.

• Works safely, accurately, and productively in accordance with standards outlined by Supervisor.

• Additional duties may be assigned based on business needs and associates may be asked to work in any area of the Distribution Center or Web Store at anytime.

Qualifications include:

• A High School diploma: certificate or equivalent experience.

• 1-2 years prior distribution/fulfillment experience is preferred.

• Knowledge of RF equipment is preferred.

• Great attendance and good prior work history with references.

• Ability to stand/walk/sit/talk/hear 8 hours or more per day.

• Ability to use hands, fingers, reach with arms, stoop, kneel and bend.

• Ability to climb stairs several times a day.

• Ability to lift or move 50lbs frequently.

• Forklift experience a plus!

• Ability to work in conditions including: loud work area, hot and cold temperatures, and be aware of hazardous materials used in a distribution center.

• Ability to work flexible hours and overtime with minimal notice.
