Food Processors - Full-time / Part-time

Our client in the Hayward area has an immediate need for Production Line Food Processors. Food production experience not required.

Summ ar y: Under the direction of the Production Manager, Seafood Processors utilize a v ar iety of physical skills on a heavy duty production line, transforming up to 40,000 lbs. of raw seafood daily into a high quality finished product. Seafood processors ar e generally assigned to a specific dep ar tment, but may transfer between dep ar tments on a daily/hourly basis, as needed.

Essential Job Duties include, but are not limited to:

Packing Department –

• Scooping product into containers 3oz to 4.4lbs
• Packaging, sealing and labeling product
• Package outcome counting (simple math)
• Weighing and measuring product
• Machine Setup and Takedown (p ar ts weight approx 1lb to 20lbs.)

Processing Department –

• Defrosting product; working in cold storage ar eas, transferring bulk product to defrosting room (c ar ry up to 70lbs)
• Washing, weighing, measuring, and cutting product
• Scaling ingredients(simple math)
• Cooking product by boiling, steaming, smoking and grilling
• Operating mixing and/or spinning machines
• Moving up to 1100 lb. tanks and other equipment

Boxing Department –

• Boxing, sealing and palletizing product
• Transferring boxes to cold storage area
• Package outcome counting (simple math)

Safety Equipment: Must follow safe and sanitary working guidelines; SSOPs and GMPs.

Personal Protective Equipment: Must be worn where required, i.e. face mask, boots, hairnet
