Aerotek Energy Services is seraching for qualified Construction Site Managers for a client in NC.

This position is responsible for managing construction projects by defining purpose and scope; calculating resources required; establishing standards and protocols; allocating resources; scheduling and coordinating staff and sub-contractors; evaluating milestone assumptions and conclusions; resolving design problems; and evaluating and implementing change orders. Level I, II, or III designation is determined by the scope of the project.

This position is targeted towards a Civil, Grading and Excavation background. Also, DOT backgrounds are preferred.

A. *Meets construction budget by monitoring project expenditures; identifying variances; implementing corrective actions; providing non-project annual operating and capital budget information.
B. *Meets operational standards by contributing construction information to strategic plans and reviews; implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving problems; identifying construction management system improvements.
C. *Maintains safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following and enforcing standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations.
D. *Updates job knowledge by tracking and understanding emerging construction practices and standards; participating in educational; opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
E. *Accomplishes construction human resource objectives by selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; communicating job expectations; planning; executing; monitoring/controlling, appraising job contributions; recommending compensation actions; adhering to policies and procedures.
F. *Manages sub-contractors by evaluating, and selecting sub-contractors; monitoring and controlling performance.
G. *Prevents fines and interruptions by complying with, and enforcing, OSHA, MSHA and DOT codes and regulations.

A. Informative and professional assistance when working with vendors, customers and co-workers.
B. Ability to act independently and to originate new procedures and new approaches to problems.
C. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
D. Ability to maintain initiative to maintain the flow of work.
