ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Perform internal audits of functional areas and corporate processes and controls.
* Develop and monitor a consistent, company-wide inventory audit strategy.
* Manage activities of onsite distribution center Inventory Audit Supervisors and related teams, specific to:
o Manage daily cycle counting and control measures / accuracy checks to ensure errors and discrepancies are highlighted, addressed and resolved.
o Research variances in order to correct all impacted SKUs and locations.
o Perform root cause analysis to identify procedural or control weaknesses that contributed to inventory variances.
o Make recommendations for changes to operational procedures or controls, with a goal of reducing future inventory discrepancies, shortages, losses and SNA's (stock not available).
o Onsite management will require occasional travel to Distribution Centers in network.
o Assist in identifying and documenting any routing violations in order that they can be addressed with merchandise suppliers.
* Serve as a liaison between Operations and Corporate Management, related to cycle counting audit process and results, a well as procedural recommendations.
* Establish ongoing inventory audit training program for DC staff.
* Create periodic inventory audit reporting program, including the establishment of a standardized reporting tool to identify progress against company goals and metrics.
o Produce regular management reports to show inventory systems are controlled and any discrepancies have been addressed and resolved.
o Develop analysis of cycle count adjustments, trends, performance metrics and on-going issues specific to each DC.
o Communicate inventory audit findings and recommendations to the Executive Team.
* Coordinate or provide support to other operational personnel.
* Identify inefficient processes and procedures and recommend ways to improve business practices and performance.
o Identify key performance measures and use the metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of the improvement recommendations.
* Assist as necessary, with respect to coordinating and performing any onsite internal audits.
* Responsible for documenting all processes and procedures utilized by Inventory Audit team.
* This position will be responsible for managing the activities of onsite Distribution Center Inventory Audit Supervisors and related Audit teams.

Qualifications

* Bachelor's Degree in Business required
* 3-5 years of supervisory experience in a distribution or manufacturing environment (and)
* 3-5 years of experience in the area of Inventory Auditing (and / or)
* 3-5 years of experience working as a financial and operational auditor in a distribution, retail or manufacturing environment (and / or)
* 3-5 years of experience in public accounting with an emphasis on distribution, retail or manufacturing operations
