Package Handler - Full-time / Part-time

The Package Handler position involves unloading each parcel by hand from fleet vehicles, scanning barcode labels of each package as unloaded for tracking purposes, sorting each parcel by zip code, city, or state, and stacking freight into trailers and routes in a manner to prevent damage and utilize space efficiently. Package Handlers will also wash fleet vehicles daily to maintain company image and perform light custodial duties to maintain a clean & safe warehouse environment.

A qualified Package Handler must be able to lift up to 100 pounds, although the average package tends to weigh between 10 to 20 pounds. Package Handlers must also have the ability to read letters and numbers at a fast pace, be able to memorize zip codes and town names for sorting purposes, and also be able to spend a minimum of eight hours on feet; this position also includes extensive twisting, bending and squatting.
