Aerotek is now hiring in partnership with Pella Corporation. Pella Corporation is one of the industry's leading innovators of window and door products. The Gettysburg facility is growing and currently seeking contract to hire third shift production assemblers.
As an assembler for Pella Corporation you will be responsible for the assembly of various types of doors and windows in a fast paced manufacturing environment. The current available openings will be on third shift from Sunday night - Wednesday night with the hours of 8:30 pm - 6:30 am and may include overtime on Thursday night (8:30 pm - 6:30 am) and Friday night (7:30 pm - 3:30 am).
REQUIREMENTS:
Physical job tasks - able to lift, push, pull at least 50 lb.
Ability to work on paced production lines
Ability to comprehend and follow standard work steps
Ability to be trained and rotated through at least 2 different work stations
Ability to work in a strong safety-focused environment - PPE required
- Safety glasses
- Hearing protection
- Gloves
- Arm guards when handling glass and operating saws
Ability to work in seasonal high temperatures and humidity (no air conditioning)
Eligible candidates will work for a temporary period of time through Aerotek and will be eligible for full time hire after 600 hours worked. This eligibility will be based strongly on attendance and performance standards.
Candidates will need to submit to a drug and background test as well as completion of a pre-employment physical/lift test.
Pay will start at $11.50 per hour to start. After completion of a probationary period candidates will be eligible to transition and will be paid $13.00 per hour and become eligible for bonuses. Medical and dental insurance available after completion of a 60 day waiting period following conversion to full time.
