About this job
This company is a forging facility in Brighton, MI. They run two shifts from 6-6 and are working 60 hours per week. They are currently looking for at least three people to be in their Billett Processing Department and at least one person in their Atomization Department.
Billett Processing:
In this department it is important to know that they will NOT be working with the melted material or the melting machinery - they will have NO exposure to the material or machinery that includes the molten metal.
In this department they need people that have at least 6 months of manufacturing experience. They will be working with the processed billetts that are coming off of the lathes. They MUST be able to read a ruler because they will be doing general measurments on the materials coming off of the machines. If they have any exposure to micrometer reading that would be a huge PLUS. They will be helping with loading and unloading of materials as well as general help on the floor. Anyone that has anytype of Manual Lathe experience is perfect for this position
Atomization Department:
There is no specific background or skills needed for this position other than having a manufacturing background. This role is an unusual role that takes someone who is great at paying attention to detail and again retaining information. Mechanical aptitude in general, some paperwork experience, taking readings and recording data. Light math and comprehension
