- Provide customer service and support.
- Functions as a primary resource in handling pharmacy / pharmacist contacts via telephone ranging from routine to complex, regarding insurance authorization, benefits, claims, and general assistance.
- Deliver the highest quality customer service through the execution of responsiveness, reliability, assurance/confidence, accuracy, and professionalism on every pharmacy/pharmacist interaction in a fast-paced call center.
- Respond to inbound pharmacy/customer calls.
- Performs duties related to the resolution of adjudicated prescription claims with regards to member eligibility, benefit parameters applied, determination of prior authorization or overrides and exceptions in the system.
- Must complete calls expeditiously, accurately and in a professional manner.
Minimum Requirements
- Strong customer service skills.
- Experience using Internet, Windows applications (Word, Excel) and eMail services (Outlook)
- Excellent verbal communication skills (vocabulary and articulation)
- Ability to express assurance/confidence and empathy.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule; may require holiday and weekends;
- Easily adaptable to change
- Must have prior voice experience in a call center environment.
- Previous pharmaceutical or medical experience preferred.
