Job Description:
PURPOSE OF POSITION: Sells, delivers, and services propane accounts and equipment.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
1. Delivers propane product to customers.
2. Solicits and sells propane and related products and services.
3. Performs simple maintenance on trucks.
4. Repairs and paints tanks and equipment. Provides appropriate information on loaned equipment, transfers, etc.
5. Loads and unloads product.
6. Maintains daily truck reports.
7. Assists with inventory controls through adhering to established procedures and reports.
8. Assists with taking physical inventories.
9. Assists with maintaining a clean and well-presented plant.
10. Collects accounts and assists in credit control.
11. Adheres to Southern States Corporate Policies and Procedures.
12. Attends schools and meetings as required.
13. Performs other duties as assigned.
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- must be able to pass a drug screen and a background check
- must have a valid driver's license and a satisfactory driving record
- CDL required.
- HAZMAT and Tanker endorsement preferred
- CETP trained preferred
- In states requiring examination, must successfully complete and pass all requirements before being assigned to this job.
