MECHANICAL DESIGNER
Provides technical support for the design and testing of new products.
POSITION EXPECTATIONS
* Creates designs and layout drawings using 3D modeling software (Solidworks)as required for purposes of checking dimensional requirements and for review of aesthetics.
* Conducts research and testing of new materials.
* Creates detailed drawings and bill of materials as required for prototype and production build requirements.
* Creates and maintains project schedules to ensure projects meet established timelines.
* Interfaces with suppliers and manufacturing engineering to assure designs meet objectives for costs and manufacturability.
QUALIFICATIONS
* Proficient with the use of SolidWorks or other 3D solid modeling CAD software
* 2 year associates in technical field
* 0 - 5 years of design engineering experience preferred
