Manpower has an immediate temporary opening for an Electrical Technician in Fort Worth Texas; pay rate for this position is $27.50 an hour Duties and responsibilities: *Setup and Maintain Testing Environment (PETS - Performance Evaluation Test Stand): *Make every Test station Functional (Windows 7 Environment) *Connect PC's to UPS *Configure UPS *Install Monitors (Dual) *Install Keyboards, mice and emergency buttons *Standardize stations (some PXI spots, etc) *Install Cameras & Drivers, lighting panels, and drivers for (Windows) *Perform data back-ups for each test stand *Create back-up image (Master) *Backup image for each PETS station *Create formal documentation for back-up on image *Place formal documentation for back-up image into source control *Keep Computers up to date *Remove out of date software (old versions of Code Composer) *Install latest software (LabView 2014) *Keep drivers and software up to date *Keep a detailed list of any special software on stands Perform all lab technician duties: *Re-wire formal testing stations (cleanup). *Reconfigure test stands *Install Virginia panels. *Create test harnesses *Solder surface mounted components *Mount testing hardware for each of the PETS stations *Breadboarding/wire-wrap (a plus *Identify electronic components (resistors, capacitors, relays, etc *Create Cat-5 & 6 network cabling with connectors *Configure IP addressing, using static and dynamic IP's *Test network connectivity *Network debugging and troubleshooting *Help (setup, getting data etc.) engineers with test equipment such as scope, multi-meter, power supplies, function generators etc *Inventory software disks *Create documentation for each test stand. *Create and update documentation for the formal PETS software Lab Setup: *Lab inventory on PETS *Hardware power cards, FPGA cards, etc. *Lab inventory on tools *Lab inventory cables *Create an inventory database *Use phone camera to track tags on hardware to feed Inventory database *Place inventory in ESCoE SharePoint database *Create interface with the end of user for ESCoE inventory in SharePoint *Database work (Astro) *Set each test stand with static equipment. *Order static mats *Setup statc mats *Setup DELL stations on rags and mounted *Organize cabinets, CD's, boxes, hardware, and binders *Organize software cabinet and inventory *Organize hardware boxes *Finish unpacking boxes, inventory, and organize them. *Organize the hardware and rig from systems *Organize manuals and binders *Setup tools boards (mount) *Lab inventory on tools *Organize hardware plastic panels on each PETS table *Install and manage Subversion (SVN).
