High Volume Payroll Administrator
Pay: $30.00 / hour
Working under general direction the Sr. Payroll Administrator is responsible for processing high volume, complex, multi-state, multi FEIN, and international payroll, in a team-oriented environment. This role interfaces with employees, managers, and HR to facilitate accurate and timely payroll processing and often resolves escalated issues. Candidate will also be involved with international payroll processing, payroll accounting, G/L reporting, and other payroll responsibilities. Job Duties •Compile, maintain, and scrub data prior to payroll processing for a complex muiti-state, and international payroll •Prepare, verify and transmit payroll data to payroll vendors. •Review and verify output reports to ensure accuracy. •Receives, analyzes, prepares and balances payroll for a specific number of locations on schedule with speed and accuracy. •Calculate special payments including bonuses, reimbursements and/or manual out of cycle payments. Produce checks on demand as needed based on state requirements. •Prepare and file accurate and timely payroll tax reports required by state and local governments; pay tax deposits and other funds withheld to proper regulatory agencies per defined time lines. •Process final paychecks in accordance with state requirement. •Process wage garnishments in accordance with federal and state regulations. •Investigate, analyze and resolve problems, answer questions, explain payroll policies and procedures in a service oriented fashion to employees and distribute payroll-related forms as requested; keys/setup, change, or stop direct deposits as authorized. •May guide and advise less experienced team members

Requirements

High school diploma or GED required; AA degree or some college preferred • Five years of experience with processing high volume, multi-state payroll consisting of 5000+ employees. •Customer service oriented •Understand and communicate payroll policies and procedures. •Strong knowledge of current federal and multi-state laws, regulations and local withholdings as it applies to payroll. •Strong knowledge of payroll concepts and pay calculations necessary to process full-cycle payroll. •Demonstrated experience interfacing payroll data into an HRIS database as well as processing payroll with an automated timekeeping system. •Demonstrated ability to work effectively under pressure, independently, and within a collaborative team oriented environment using sound judgment in decision-making. •Must be detail-oriented, analytical, able to work well under deadlines in a changing environment and perform multiple tasks effectively and concurrently. •Comprehensive knowledge of HR/Payroll systems, Time and Attendance Systems, and Reporting Tools. •Strong knowledge of MS Office suite, including a high-level of proficiency using Microsoft Excel for custom and designed reports. •Attention to detail. •Strong written and verbal communication skills.
