Mechanical Assembler

Level of Complexity:
Entry level position. First of three levels within the Assembler job family. Works on basic, routine assemblies, usually under close supervision. Requires a moderate understanding of general job duties and superficial understanding of the technical aspects of the job. Normally receives detailed instruction on all work.

Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Basic cable and wire harness assembly.
2. Simple add wiring and/or soldering.
3. Read basic prints and drawings.
4. Build non-electric and electrical sub-assemblies.
5. Pull parts from inventory for work orders.
6. Any other duties and responsibilities as needed.

Skills Required:
1. Basic knowledge of assembly hand tools.
2. Follows written and verbal directions.
3. Capable of learning to read prints and drawings.
4. Self-motivated, requiring moderate supervision.

Education and Experience Required:
High School diploma or GED equivalent is required. This is an entry-level position with no previous experience required.
