Associate - Summer Ave - Full-time / Part-time

Overview:

Garden Ridge employees are enthusiastic, passionate about their work and home decor. Our Associates perform a variety of tasks as directed by leadership, assists in other areas of the warehouse as needed and follows proper safety and security procedures.

Responsibilities:

Primary Responsibilities include:

• Unload, process, and stock freight to correct location, following merchandising guidelines.
• Operate forklift, pallet jack, baler, and compactor as directed.
• Maintain safe working and shopping environment while minimizing shrink and damages.
• Perform store conditioning tasks and all housekeeping tasks as assigned.
• Assist customers with large and/or oversized purchases.
• Perform Cashier duties as assigned accurately, timely, and per policy.
• Gathers shopping carts as needed.
• Execute all other directives timely with accuracy.

Desired Traits:

• High energy and a high sense of urgency
• Ability to spend up to 100% of work time standing, bending, stooping, lifting, carrying, climbing, walking, reaching and other physical activities
• Able to lift 50 pounds
• Ability to work effectively with a team to perform all tasks as directed

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

• At least 18 years old
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and some holiday
• Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs., team lift 100 lbs.
