Technician, Repair Technician, Preventative Maintenance Technician

DESCRIPTION

Statement of Purpose:

To perform daily repair and maintenance work on restaurant equipment and property within assigned stores and to ensure timely and accurate completion of Preventive Maintenance schedules, while providing ongoing PM training at store level.

Responsibilities:

  • Performs preventative maintenance service, emergency repair and cosmetic repair on restaurant equipment and property.
  • Assists where necessary in the installation of equipment resulting from special projects (i.e. timers, server station, etc.)
  • Performs regular inspections of all assigned restaurants and reports the condition of equipment and property, as well as maintenance status.
  • Ensures accurate and timely reporting of invoices, maintenance logs, capital expenditure request forms and any other pertinent administrative paperwork necessary.
  • Maintains record of spare parts inventory and company owned tool inventories. Provides reports as requested.
  • Assists supervisor with recommendations regarding capital budget expenditures for equipment building and property repair or replacement.
  • Performs duties as requested for store openings, special events, fairs and store closing program; assists in transfer, sales and/ or disposal of
  • equipment.
  • Monitors and inspects all work performed by outside contractors in assigned stores.
  • Maintains current service and warranty repair records and prevents unwarranted repair expenses or violation of warranties.
  • Performs other job related duties as may be assigned or required.

Irregular hours or periodic overtime required. Frequent exposure to extreme weather conditions. Required to be on call 24 hour basis.

Requirements:

  • Technical knowledge of H.V.A.C. and refrigeration, electrical repair, plumbing, along with some knowledge of carpentry and general building maintenance.
  • Ability to maintain / repair varied types of electrical equipment.
  • Experienced in H.V.A.C. and refrigeration, along with related general maintenance / repair work.
  • Refrigerant recovery certification required. Technical certification, preferred.
  • Legal licensing may be required in some locations.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
