Job Summary


The Clinic Integration Specialist works with the Director, Clinic Integration, to ensure a smooth transition to the policies, procedures and operating guidelines of the WellMed organization. Assists in the delivery of the approved project plan established for integration, maintaining all budget and time restraints. Under the direction of operational partners, including training teams, the Clinic Integration Specialist ensures successful clinic integration for newly acquired practices.



Essential Job Functions



  • Acts on assignments from the Director, Clinic Integration and/or Associate Medical Director to conduct Clinic Operations Transitions Plan presentations, meetings, and training sessions as appropriate.

  • Provide in-person support at integration sites to ensure a smooth transition to the new policies, procedures and operational guidelines for providers and staff.

  • Provides training both in groups and one on one to ensure each member of the staff is fully knowledgeable and compliant with procedures and operational guidelines established by WellMed.

  • Regularly communicates status of the project and all applicable issues to the Director, Clinic Integration.

  • Works closely with the Director, Clinic Integration and the clinic team to ensure acceptable resolution to any identified issues or concerns.

  • Works closely with all business units to optimize use of services and ensure timely support of identified business needs.

  • Performs all other related duties as assigned.

Requirements


  • High School diploma or equivalent.

  • Three or more years in the healthcare field, with an emphasis in clinic operations or staff training and development.

  • Significant travel required approximately 90% travel time.

  • Strong interpersonal skills with ability to interface effectively both externally and internally with a wide range of people including physicians, office staff and other health plan staff.

  • Knowledge of organization policies and procedures and ability to read, interpret and apply.

  • Knowledge of and skills with tools used in Healthcare Operations: EMR, Practice Management System, Clinic Operations and related systems.

  • Supervisory experience within a clinic setting 

  • Five or more years of directly related experience in medical practice management.

Ability to sit for extended periods of time


Ability to use fine motor skills to operate office equipment and/or machinery


Ability to receive and comprehend instructions verbally and/or in writing


Ability to use logical reasoning for simple and complex problem solving
