In this IT Application Architect role, you will be responsible for the development, communication and implementation of IT system designs and architecture for a suite of applications in the payment domain.

You will have the opportunity to be a part of a focused team dedicated to helping to make the health care system work better. Primary responsibilities:
Collaborate with the business to understand/influence business requirements.
Ensure alignment of solutions with business and IT goals/objectives.
Facilitate/lead/participate in identification of solution options and features.
Communicate solution options to business & IT owners/stakeholders (e.g. architecture reviews)
Incorporate software and system architecture (e.g. infrastructure, network) into conceptual designs.
Act as the liaison between Business and Systems Analysts, Developers and project management groups.
Present and evaluate design options objectively and facilitate conflict resolution.
Author / contribute to cross-application solution documentation. (e.g. Solution Summary Document, SACD, conceptual data model, process flows, etc.).
Create and contribute to complex conceptual designs for your applications and ensure that all project solutions fit into overall cohesive design approach for your applications.
Understand the applications supported and their upstream/downstream impact.
Ensure that system solution options are thoroughly researched, analyzed and documented
Analyze/identify applicable solution requirements (e.g., infrastructure, software database).
Support applicable modeling efforts (e.g., data modeling, process modeling, hardware modeling, performance modeling).
Serves as a key resource on complex and/or critical issues and provide ad hoc consulting in applicable areas of expertise.
Lead and mentor other Team Members
Maintain knowledge of current and emerging technologies/products/trends related to architectural solutions.
Ensure alignment with enterprise technology standards (e.g. patterns, application frameworks, technology roadmaps, capital plans).
Adhere to architecture Governance framework.

Requirements

Undergraduate degree
Experience in IT Solution Delivery and architecture or Systems Analysis
Experience in Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) /System Development Life Cycle
Experience creating conceptual designs / solution documentation
Deep understanding of industry patterns for application architecture and integration
Experience in building multi-tier applications
Experience in batch and online system design
Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint
Must be able to work in Eden Prairie office.

Health care industry experience
Team leadership experience
Experience facilitating Joint Application Design (JAD) sessions
Experience working in an Agile environment or familiarity with Agile methodology
Experience with, DataStage PX, Java, CQ5/AEM, Hadoop, DB2 and Oracle Database
Experience with service oriented architecture
