Job Description:

Our client is in need of assemblers and press operators for 2nd shift (3:00/3:30pm to 11:00/11:30pm + OT). Basically, these positions are the same position, just titled differently. Candidates are going to be able to need to follow direction and work orders in order to be able to assemble the products that are being made. Our client makes components for many different automotive companies. The position requires one to stand the entire shift and basically assemble the parts from the specific machines. Candidates will need to be very meticulous as they are going to take all the extra plastic off of the part with tools. They will also cross train in other stations that assemble the parts.

Work Environment:

The work environment is going to be within a large manufacturing facility. The environment is within a large facility that is not air conditioned and can be very hot in the summer. It also requires one to stand the entire shift.

Qualifications:

MUST HAVES

- 6 months of manufacturing experience or assembly experience (within the last 18 months)

- High school diploma or GED certificate

PREFERRED

- Retail experience

Performance Expectations:

They are going to be expected to keep up with the workflow which depends on which cell they are in. They have what they call 'Easy' jobs and 'Difficult' jobs, they will do one of these a day and the other a day to keep them fresh. They are also expected to follow the CAS standards which they take very seriously. They have specific expectations from the current automotive companies and one needs to be persistent on what they are looking for.

Interview Information:

There is no interview process. We are going to send the HR Managers the resume and we will get a response that they are good to start or not good to start depending on the experience with the resume.

Additional Compensation:

These people are working 10 hour shifts at this time. They work all Saturdays at this point and could work some Sundays depending on the work flow. They need to be expected to work up to 60-70 hours a week at this time. Anything over the regular 40 hours is time and a half.

Additional Information:

The openings are currently on 2nd shift, which is from 3:00pm to 11:00pm or 3:30pm to 11:30pm depending on which business unit the candidate is placed. They are going to be overlapping on the shifts and they need to expect to work 10 hours. The dress attire is pretty casual but should be able to wear jeans.
