With over 55 years in the Custom Window Design industry, we have 330 In Home Custom Decorating Studios in stores across the U.S. with Professionals who provide in-home, hands-on interior design assistance and consultation in the sales process. We are currently seeking an Interior Design Sales Consultant to join our In Home Custom Decorating Team. Primary Responsibilities:
• Maintaining and exceeding maximum volume and customer service standards for in-home custom decorating window treatment products and service
• Consult with customers in their homes by appointment
• Build a solid customer relationship that sees the customer through the process from initial design to installation
• Demonstrate exceptional customer service
• Build collaborative partnership with store leaders, installers and associates
• Complete full sales lifecycle, including lead generation, prospecting, networking, presentation and close
• Demonstrate knowledge of JCPenney In-Home Custom Decorating window treatment product and services
• Use product knowledge to build customer base and expertise
Core Competencies & Accomplishments:
• 2-3 years of consultive sales, retail or related experience
• Design background or interior design degree a plus
• Knowledge of iPad, PC data input and internet navigation skills
• Ability to interpret and apply data
• Math acumen-ability to use calculator and measuring tape
• Ability to manage a client base within a 60 mile radius of design studio
• Flexibility and dependability with schedules, including availability on nights and weekends
• Local travel required: must have a reliable form of transportation, valid driver’s license and auto insurance
