APS
Maintenance Technicians maintain Automated Pharmacy System (APS)
equipments. They start and stop the APS, monitor and respond to alarms,
perform equipment maintenance and repair.


Must have a good working knowledge and experience in
the repair and maintenance of an automated manufacturing or
distribution equipment to include: mechanical systems (motors, gears,
belts, couplings, etc.), pneumatic systems(air compressors, air dryers,
actuators, flow controllers), PLCs, automation and electronic controls,
and basic understanding of electrical system.

Requirements

Required Qualifications:



  • High school Diploma/GED
  • 3+ years of experience working with mechanical systems
    such as: couplings, gears, bearings, clutches, drives, alignment and trade
    data, etc.
  • 3+ years of experience working on pneumatic &
    hydraulic systems such as: air compressor, air dryer, directional control
    valves, air cylinders, actuators, speed flow controllers, tube sizing,
    etc.
  • 3+ years of experience working on electrical systems
    such as: electrical safety, electrical fundamentals, electrical
    conductors, raceways, wiring devices, protective devices, distribution,
    motors, transformers, grounding, lighting, measurement instruments,
    symbols and drawings.
  • 3+ years of experience working on PLC (Programmable
    Logic Controller) systems such as: theory of operations, PLC internals,
    Input & Output (sensors, relays, etc.), ladder logic, PLC program
    instructions.
  • Proficient with the PC and working with MS Office
    applications


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Vocational training and/or technical diploma in
    mechanical and/or electrical systems.
  • Knowledge and experience in Automated Pharmacy System
    is a plus.
  • Experience with robotics, automation controls, PLC, motors, gears in support of a distribution or manufacturing operation. 
  • 5+ years experience in a mechanical/automated environment.
