Primary Responsibilities:
The Senior IT Security Analyst will work within cross-functional teams , to facilitate the Enterprise-wide Security Policy Exception & Exemption review, approval and renewal process for UnitedHealth Group. Process will include the full lifecycle management of exception and exemptions from submission, through disposition (approval or denial) and through update and / or renewal, as required. This position will perform and document risk analysis, risk rating, and reporting of disposition of the exception or exemption request and on-going management of exceptions and exemptions throughout their lifecycle. Identification of mitigating controls associated with policy exceptions Perform and document risk analysis, risk rating, reporting of disposition of the exception or exemption request and on-going management of all exceptions and exemptions throughout their lifecycle. Consult on security policy and standards interpretation in support of the exception/exemption process. Provide backup for Security Exception and Exemption Manager.
This analyst will deliver the following outcomes to UnitedHealth Group:
- Manage exception and exemption requests and identify risks and associated mitigating controls.
- Translate policies and standards in ways that can be understood by a variety of audiences
- Meet established team Service Level Objectives.
- Assist other analysts with complex risk assessments
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in applicable area of expertise OR High School Diploma/GED with 3 years of equivalent experience
- 3+ years Information Security / Privacy experience
- 3+ years of general understanding of Security Access Controls
- 3+ years of experience working in a matrixes environment
- 3+ years of experience working in a customer service focused environment
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards
