Maintenance Mechanic - Full-time

Description

The Technician is required to set up, change over, adjust, perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain assigned equipment and electrical systems with responsibility for production and quality.

• Analyzes Electrical, mechanical and operational problems, makes necessary corrections. Maintains maximum production and quality.
• Change over equipment to new sizes, verifies after change over
• Performs scheduled maintenance
• Test equipment to verify correct operation and production of quality
• Make preventive maintenance check and inspection of equipment
• Examines defects and analyzes spoilage causes and, where possible,
• Takes corrective action and verifies the corrective action has eliminated the problems.
• Analyzes and records cause of production delays on daily production
• Reports and initiates procedures to solve equipment malfunctions.
• Notifies Shift Supervisor of recurring equipment malfunctions and corrective action taken, and of quality problems or supplies needed.
• Instructs and directs any maintenance trainees assigned.

• Implements 5-S on line
• Control Direct Labor to labor standard
• Meet or exceed production schedule
• Problem solve
• Eliminate scrap and waste
• Oil and grease equipment.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Must follow proper lockout/tagout procedures.
• Must be willing to work overtime as needed.
• Must be willing to learn new equipment as it is brought on-line.

Qualification

• Minimum five years production machine troubleshooting and repair
• PLC programming and electrical troubleshooting
• Experience with form fill and seal, packet equipment, Must be able to tolerate heights
• Physical demand level medium
• Must be able to lift up to 55 pounds of weight.
• Prompt arrival and regular attendance at work according to current schedule.
• Must furnish own necessary hand tools.
