Job Summary

The International Tax Specialist assists in the preparation of U.S. returns for non-U.S. entities and
foreign tax credit schedules. He/She is the primary contact for questions and issues about the Foreign Information Tax Reporting Package (FITRP) database. This position develops and implements process improvements to the FITRP database.

This position assists with preparation of forms for international tax compliance to fulfill federal
income tax return mandates by U.S. Tax authorities.  He/She assists with corporate support to
non-U.S. tax managers to resolve tax issues in their respective regions.  This position provides support to other tax disciplines in preparation of state income tax returns to fulfill mandates by
U.S. tax authorities.  He/She performs research to write memoranda concerning U.S. tax issues of foreign operations.

Other Duties

  • Acts as primary contact for the FITRP database to answer questions, provide guidance, and gather information.
  • Assists with maintenance of the FITRP to maintain data integrity and achieve better results.
  • Assists with preparation of statements reflecting integration activity to fulfill mandates for statement filings by U.S. Internal Revenue Service (IRS).
  • Assists with notices from the IRS to resolve tax issues concerning foreign operations.
  • Maintains international tax files to retain tax records for future audits.
  • Maintains shipping records on tax documents and contracts to retain receipt copies for tracking and future audits.

  • Accounting Knowledge:  Demonstrates basic knowledge of accounting theory and principles.
  • Legal, Regulatory, and Compliance Knowledge:  Demonstrates a basic understanding of the functions, regulations, and procedures of compliance agencies or governing bodies; takes a leadership position in programs that reduce risk and enhance safety.
  • Conducts Research: Identifies the business problem that requires research; identifies sources of information that are relevant to a problem; reviews literature and data related the research question; summarizes information from data sources.
  • Solicits and Gathers Information: Demonstrates a general knowledge of techniques for soliciting and gathering information.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Master's Degree – Preferred
  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field - Preferred
  • CPA License – Preferred
  • Experience with Income Tax Compliance for U.S. corporations with non-U.S. operations - Preferred
