The Transportation Analyst is responsible for supporting the Domestic Operations team with financial and operational information to improve the overall performance and minimize transportation expense. Create reports to ensure transportation related expenses are in line with budget/contractual plan. Analyzing expenses and develop cost reduction recommendations based on product flow and TRU network. Manage Carrier Contract Bid process. Align the department with the business strategy by improved communication and data access. Analysis and Support: Manage and distribute daily reports to various transportation team members using in-house MS/Access database reports Make recommendations to reduce expenses Software analysis - make technical recommendations for new software applications and enhancements to current software applications Various ad-hoc analysis RFP Management: Consolidate and reconcile information from across disparate systems and provide a context for reporting on and analyzing Profiling - Inspect data for errors, inconsistencies, redundancies and incompleteness Create / maintain project task list complete with timelines, owner, and track % complete during project Streamline data collection and formatting process for input, bid template creation, and reporting Update bid instruction manual when appropriate (SOP document) Utilize and master optimization software; create scenarios (Baseline, unconstrained, incumbent only, enforced commitments) as well as any ad hoc scenarios Consolidate carrier information for qualification phase of RFP Assist supervisor with development of business requirements document Contract Management Manage and maintain contract amendment process Ensure timely/accurate update in Manu and to US Bank Secure officer signatures and file contracts (paper and electronic) Operational support of Inbound Transportation Operations Ad-hoc rate negotiations as required Secure additional capacity as required Manugistics Support (TMS) Overall day to day responsibility of Manugistics Operating System - Liaise with IT, Transportation Team users, Carriers, and JDA Support to troubleshoot and resolve system operational issues. Maintain Rate & Resource interface in TMS Decision support monitoring for operations team Evaluate system enhancements or upgrades and make recommendations on usefulness. Develop test scenarios in non-production environment & implement to production Monitor and analyze EDI tender / response process Bachelor's Degree in Business, Logistics, or Finance (preferred).
