This position will have a dual reporting relationship: Workers Compensation to the Director of Risk and Insurance Management and Property, International Programs and Surety Bonds to the Risk Manager. Position will assist in the identification and assessment of risk throughout the Company, including the development, implementation and maintenance of programs to minimize the Company’s Cost of Risk.

RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Workers Compensation

• Receiving and reviewing all incoming Workers Compensation First Report of Injuries
• Manage Workers Compensation claims reporting process
• Assist in the management of third party risk management partners
• Provide claim status and issue periodic claim and reserve reports
• Evaluate settlement possibilities within specific parameter
• Conduct periodic claim reviews
• Supervise relationships with Workers Compensation claims administrators
• Conduct periodic audits to assure compliance with claims handling instructions
• Perform a review and analysis of claims trends
• Related duties as assigned or required

Property/International Programs/Surety Bonds/Certificates of Insurance

• Corporate liaison for commercial property matters
• Maintain Property Schedule of Values
• Assist in the management of brokers, underwriter and other third party risk management partners
• Assist in the preparation of Property and International Casualty insurance renewal information and applications
• Respond to certificate of insurance requests
• Coordinate surety bond requests
• Other duties as assigned or required

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance or risk management
• Minimum three to five years working for an insurance company or third party claims administrator handling Workers Compensation claims
• Experience in working with Workers Compensation claims systems
• Excellent analytical, project management and problem solving skills
• Proficient computer skills: Excel, PowerPoint and Word
• CPCU, FRM or ARM designations desirable
• Knowledge of insurance contract language, underwriting and claims processes
• Detail oriented and possess superior customer service skills
• Experience providing safety loss information and risk trend analysis.
• Ability to interact with individuals from all levels within the organization as well as externally
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
