CMT - Construction Material Technician - Full-time / Part-time

JOB DESCRIPTION: You will be working in the field doing soil and concrete testing using the nuclear density gauge (Troxler) to check for compaction and strength. You would be going to different construction sites including Metro Airport to perform these test. Our client is a Civil consulting firm that performs geo-technical engineering that involves concrete and soil sampling/testing.

WORK ENVIRONMENT: You would be working in the elements...rain, heat, cold, etc.

QUALIFICATIONS: MUST HAVES -

* Valid Driver's License (work may require you to drive from site to site)

* Experience with concrete/material testing or inspection experience

PREFERRED -

* Troxler Experience

PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS: You will be evaluated on the accuracy of your tests and the efficiency in which you perform those tests to meet client goals.

INTERVIEW INFO: 1 step interview with the field supervisor. This is an entirely skills based interview to find out their technician experience.

ADDITIONAL INFO: They do have company vehicles, but new candidates may or may not get one. Good communication and written skills are a must because you will be interacting with clients and also providing reports on your own testings.

ADDITIONAL HOURS/COMPENSATION: This is a very hour-intensive position. You can expect to be working 40-60 hours/week. Any time worked past 40 hours, is Overtime and will be paid Time x 1.5.
