Assembly / Production General Laborer - Full-time / Part-time

Our customer, a leading company with a long history in the candy industry in Pittsburgh, PA, is adding several new productions workers to their team. We are searching for candidates that are looking to take the next step in their careers. We have added a lot of new machinery to our factory and we are looking for candidates who have great attention to detail, the ability to make on the spot decisions and are comfortable working with cutting edge touch screen technology. Successful production workers will be considered for hire after 520 hours of work.
Job Description
Previous experience in a production or food making facility is helpful.
Ability to multi task and pay attention to detail.
Ability to work with touchscreen technology and make rapid decisions.
Work as part of a team with limited supervision and able to meet multiple deadlines.
Inspect product as it passes you on the production line.
Qualifications and skills
High school diploma/ GED.
Background and drug screening required
Ability to work in a fast paced atmosphere
Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
Ability to stand on a concrete surface for long periods of time.
Must be able to work in an environment where products are processed that may contain allergens such as: milk, peanuts, tree nuts, wheat gluten and soy.
What's in it for you?
$8.35 per hour to start on the daylight shifts. $9.00 per hour on the afternoon and midnight shifts. The afternoon and midnight shifts require transportation. The day shift has limited public transportation available.
