ACCOUNTANT

South Florida based company is looking to fill the full time position of Controller/Accounting Manager to perform and manage all accounting functions for a Brazilian manufacturer/importer. Duties include but are not limited to client billing, A/R, A/P, payroll, maintaining the general ledger, month end closing, inventory control, general office duties and the preparation of operating and financial statements.

Experience using QuickBooks, MS, Word, Excel and Outlook is required. A bachelor’s degree in accounting or business administration with 5+ years of experience is preferred.

This experienced administrator/bookkeeper; must be very well versed in QuickBooks to help service a wide variety of retail clients.

We require an EXPERIENCED bookkeeper with a minimum of 2+ years of great hands-on experience to work with our A/P, A/R, Inventory Control and Accounting, who can QUICKLY log in, to process transactions in QuickBooks.

Job will include:

  • Preparing customer quotations

  • Process accounts payable and accounts receivable for various clients.

  • Review bank transaction imports and reconciliation accounts for various clients.

  • Handle each client's account based on the industry specifics and individual account requirements.

  • Preparing invoices and shipments

  • Maintain merchandise, packaging and collateral material inventory.

  • General administration, including phones and filing, as needed.

    * Note: ALL bookkeeping work will be done in QuickBooks, we expect you to be VERY comfortable with QuickBooks and the program nuances.

    Requirements:

  • 2+yrs experience with QuickBooks (including transaction downloads from banks).

  • 3+yrs experience with A/P.

  • Well versed in Microsoft Office tools, specifically Word, Excel and Outlook.

  • Great attention to details and a love of numbers.

  • Well organized and a great positive attitude.

    All candidates are required to:

  • Provide legal documents showing identity & authorization to work in the U.S.

  • English speaking a must, Bilingual (Spanish, Portuguese) a plus.
