Director of Talent Acquisition
Whelan Security is looking for a talented and driven leader to manage recruiting initiatives for the organization. The position will be located in our corporate headquarters in the St. Louis area!

This leader must be comfortable working in a strategic capacity while at the same time being a hands-on, tactical leader. The position will have responsibility for setting the recruiting initiatives and approach for the organization, including the development of an effective and repeatable recruiting strategy, managing vendor relationships, identifying new, creative and effective recruiting sources, and conducting recruiting training as needed. The Director of Talent Acquisition will report to the Vice President of Human Resources and will have the following responsibilities:
  • Provides guidance and subject matter expertise for future talent acquisition planning for the organization
  • Consults with national, regional and local business leaders to initiate and develop in-depth and innovative talent acquisition strategies
  • Works to achieve talent acquisition metrics and goals including the quality of applicant pools and hires, local activity, and sourcing analysis
  • Manages all recruiting reporting
  • Proactively evaluates and assesses the business functions’ talent acquisition needs to implement creative, efficient, and effective sourcing and recruitment campaigns
  • Develops a sourcing plan for the field operations that maximizes sourcing dollars and reduces the time necessary to narrow the candidate pool to those candidates who are best matched to the candidate profile
  • Manages vendor relationships with recruiting sources
  • Enhance organizational effectiveness by analyzing current processes and recommending modifications
  • Create and conduct recruiting training for managers
  • Travel requirements will be approximately 20%
  • Perform other duties as required or assigned by management


Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience in a fast paced, high volume recruiting environment, and have experience working with Applicant Tracking Systems. A Bachelor's Degree is required. Candidates must demonstrate a stable work history and pass an extensive background screening which includes, but is not limited to, criminal background checks (local, state, and federal), drug test, aptitude tests, skills assessments, interviews, past employment verification, and a personality profile (behavioral assessment).

We are looking for intelligent, motivated, competitive individuals with a friendly attitude, professional demeanor, great customer service skills, and the ability to communicate effectively. Candidates should be results and people oriented, but have the ability to balance business considerations. PHR or similar designations are also desirable.
