Primary Responsibilities:



  • Healthcare Recovery Analysts are responsible for
    analyzing, investigating, recovering and resolving all types of
    subrogation claims, including recovery and resolution for health plans,
    commercial customers and government entities.
  • Initiate phone calls to members, attorneys and other
    insurance companies to gather coverage information
  • May conduct contestable investigations to review
    medical history
  • Ensure adherence to state and federal law,
    reimbursement policies and contract compliance.
  • Provides explanations and interpretations within area
    of expertise
  • Heavy file management in a diary system to adhere to
    internal deadlines.
  • Successfully negotiate with adverse parties
  • Secure recoveries to meet internal revenue targets and
    process recovery on claims.


Requirements



Requirements:




  • High School Diploma/ GED 
  • Work or education experience in one of the following
    categories: legal, subrogation, collections, workers compensation,
    insurance claims required
  • Intermediate skill level with MS Office Suite- Outlook,
    Word, Excel 




Assets:




  • Bachelors or Associates degree
  • Paralegal degree
  • 1+ years of negotiation experience
  • 1+ years of experience with effective writing in a
    corporate setting of professional correspondence, emails, etc
  • Beginner in Microsoft PowerPoint experience
  • Experience working with and protecting sensitive
    information
  • Typing minimum 35+ WPM preferred


Soft Skills:

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality at all times
  • Strong communication skills to include written and
    telephonic methods



Physical Requirements and Work

  • Extended periods of sitting at a computer and use of
    hands/ fingers across keyboard or mouse
