About this job

Do you enjoy meeting people in the community who have a common interest in senior care? Do you have a flair for building relationships that generate business referrals? Are you looking for a position that is “on the road” yet close to home? If so, Home Instead Senior Care is now interviewing for the key position of Community Relations Representative (CRR).

For seniors, and for the families who love and care for them. Home Instead Senior Care’s commitment starts in the community, getting the message out regarding home-based care options and the need for senior care planning. The CRR is our community ambassador, researching and developing new referral sources and enhancing existing ones to generate inquiries and develop new business, as well as planning for education and outreach that serve community needs. Building a referral network at the community level requires a level of consistent visibility that positions the reputation and credibility of Home Instead Senior Care and promotes our services. Our CRR’s drive business and as such, are a vital part of our company growth.

While the primary responsibility of a CRR involves on-location meetings to build relationships, recording meeting notes and referral data as well as monitoring progress to make strategic determinations going forward are also key functions of this performance-based position. The purpose of a CRR’s outreach and recording is to drive referrals for service to Home Instead Senior Care from an assigned territory. Creativity, enthusiasm, genuine approach, and passion for health care/senior care will allow you to flourish in this business development, sales and marketing position.

Job Requirements:

Care about the health and well-being of the seniors in our state, and have the demeanor to be persistent and an over achiever who enjoys selling, as well as staying on top of follow-up and details.

Qualities we are looking for include being articulate, driven, enthusiastic, creative, and not easily discouraged---not to minimize the importance of being patient and respectful as you build relationships with community leaders that will sustain over time. Additionally, as much as the CRR position is about marketing and outside sales, the most qualified candidates will demonstrate strategic thinking, capability for planning, and the ability to juggle multiple relationships, tasks etc., accomplishing all with acumen.

Some College education preferred but not required. Experience working with seniors, social work, or within health care would be helpful. The bottom line is you have to want to make a difference for seniors and their families and for Home Instead Senior Care and represent yourself professionally and responsibility.
